In a new series for Good Spa Guide, Stylish Spy rounds up this month's key products, openings and trends.

The Grand Hotel Brighton
1

Brighton’s The Grand was the UK’s first hotel to partner with Swiss skincare brand L.Raphael late last year when it opened following a £17 million refurbishment. The brand-new wellness space combines well-thought-out facilities with transformative treatments - think restorative massages and re-balancing facials. The thermal suite offers a hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi sauna, steam room, and experience shower. Fancy an overnight getaway? The sea-facing bedrooms have been transformed, too.

OTO ultimate balm
2

It’s winter which - for most of us – means pesky dry parts. Thankfully OTO has the answer with two great-value balms for banishing the parch: Ultimate Balm (15ml, £29) contains CBD, Squalane and Cica to moisturise cheeks, elbows, cuticles, shins… anywhere that needs it, while their Hand Nourishing Balm (25ml, £20) rehydrates and softens dry hands whilst providing a protective barrier against further dryness.

Rituals Mind Oasis
3

Amsterdam-born product and wellness brand Rituals has launched Mind Oasis, a new sanctuary for mental relaxation including a Brain Massage (breathwork, light therapy and brainwave entrainment to put your mind into a deep meditative state) and Hydro Massage (where spa goers float on a warm waterbed for complete relaxation). Currently available in London, Holland and Germany, the concept is likely to be rolled out across the rest of Europe.

Sub Rosa The Grand York body image
4

A new underground spa - SubRosa - has opened at The Grand, York following a £2.8million refurbishment. Facilities include a double hammam, a Tirol hot sauna, a Himalayan salt sauna, a salt and light therapy room, herbal steam room, herbal lounge, large hydrotherapy pool and foot spas. Latin for ‘under the rose’ SubRosa’s five treatment rooms will offer rituals inspired by global experiences.

Water Group Shot Elemental Herbology
5

Elemental Herbology has introduced its seasonal skincare element: water. Products within the collection include a Cell Plumping Moisturiser (50ml, £55) - a hydrating complex to stimulate collagen, a Calm & Soothe Facial Oil (20ml, £44) - to protect sensitive skin, an Antioxidant Hydration Mist (100ml, £35) - to soothe dehydrated faces and a Soothe Bath & Body Oil (145ml, £33) - to relieve stress and tension.

Hydro day copy
6

Salus Spa has opened at Yorkshire’s Aldwark Manor Estate after a £12 million investment. Inside, spa goers will find a 15-metre indoor pool, juniper sauna and steam room; outside, a spa garden with hydrotherapy pool, outdoor sauna and feature shower. There’s also a spacious gym, dance studio and outdoor fitness area. Six treatment rooms, and pre- and post-treatment lounges will be added this month as part of phase 2.

FACE MASK red light therapy partnership with Loreal
7

UK-based medical device innovator iSMART Developments has teamed up with L’Oréal Groupe to create two ultra-thin, flexible silicone LED masks for the face and eyes. The lightweight, portable design delivers professional grade-light therapy to the full face and delicate eye area, with two selected wavelengths: red light to stimulate collagen and elastin, and near-infrared light to reduce puffiness and boost circulation.

Dr Rossi
8

Medical-graded skincare brand Dr Rossi has a range of hero products for the colder months, including an oil-to-foam cleanser (The Purifier, 30ml, £15), a purifying essence (The Solution, 30ml, £15), a targeted eye cream (The Eye Cure, 15ml, £96), a restorative night cream (The Night Synthesis, 15ml, £68), a daily serum (The Catalyst, 15ml, £95) and hydrating SPF (The Day Formula, 35ml, £57).
